Rugs & Shoulder Mount Pricing & Process

Depending on the condition and, repairs needed and any other special requests a standard wall hanging rug will start at approximately $2,850 (inclusive of tanning, labour and materials)

What is involved in the preparation of each piece?

• The specimen is skinned, fleshed, salted, pickled, tanned, sanitized and washed

• An artificial head, closed mouth and eyes are included in the  standard costing

• Features of the bear will be highlighted to recreate a lifelike appearance, using a combination of, clay, apoxy-sculpt, air-brushed acrylic paints, pan-pastels and various sealers

• All rugs include a foam underlay, two layers of scalloped trim and a cloth backing 

• Also if desired we can provide progress updates and photos throughout the taxidermy process

• Note: depending on how the animal was cared for upon harvest may impact the quality of the hide and slippage may occur, if this situation presents itself we will call you immediately to discuss options
