

Upland Game & Other Birds Pricing & Process
Depending on the type of bird, repairs needed, habitat desired and any other special requests.
A typical mounted specimen will cost approximately $475 - $600 (inclusive of labour and materials)

What is involved in the preparation of each piece?

The bird is skinned, fleshed and washed several times to ensure plumage is clean and in the best condition for long-term quality

Artificial bodies and bills and wiring systems are built to ensure stability and desired posture of your specimen

Locally sourced wood mounts are hand-selected for either a table base or wall mount
-
Feet are preserved using a crafted blend of fluids aptly named "feet injection fluid
-
Painting of beaks is a combination of air-brushed acrylic paints and pan-pastels
-
Habitat can be added for an additional charge and include elements such as (but not limited to) grasses, ferns, evergreen branches

Also if desired we can provide progress updates and photos throughout the taxidermy process
