Waterfowl Pricing & Process
Depending on the type of bird, repairs needed, habitat desired and any other special requests.
A typical mounted specimen will cost approximately $495 - $650 (inclusive of labour and materials)

What is involved in the preparation of each piece?
-
The bird is skinned, fleshed and washed several times to ensure plumage is clean and in the best condition for long term quality
-
Artificial bodies and bills and wiring systems are built to ensure stability and desired posture of your specimen
-
Locally sourced wood mounts are hand selected for either a table base or wall mount
-
Duck feet are preserved and painted to match their original shape and form
-
Painting of bills and feet is a combination of air brushed acrylic paints and pan-pastels
-
Habitat can be added for an additional charge and and include elements such as (but not limited to) grasses
-
Also if desired we can provide progress updates and photos throughout the taxidermy process
